Este projeto aplica-se ao contexto de implementação do ensino artístico especializado (EAE) na área da música no Nordeste Transmontano, através do estudo da atividade e do impacto sociocultural do Conservatório Regional de Macedo de Cavaleiros. Inserido numa zona periférica de Portugal, marcada por assimetrias demográficas históricas que limitam o acesso das populações a recursos educativos na área das artes, o Conservatório apresentase como um agente fundamental para o processo de democratização do EAE na região. Perceber como as práticas pedagógico-artísticas do Conservatório impactam no plano do design social que deslocam as populações de uma atitude meramente contemplativa para uma atitude ativa e de protagonismo sociocultural na região, através da aprendizagem e da produção musical. Estudo de caso com abordagem mista (quantitativa e qualitativa) e longitudinal. O estudo fará a triangulação de dados em dimensõeschave do desenvolvimento da instituição: a evolução do rácio oferta/procura educativa, a diversidade instrumental e a sua ligação às tradições comunitárias locais, a abrangência demográfica (incluindo o ensino ao longo da vida) e o impacto de sinergias através de parcerias institucionais multissetoriais. Espera-se que o estudo valide estratégias que consolidem a instituição enquanto plataforma de desenvolvimento regional sustentável, fomentando a coesão social e a fixação de populações. Adicionalmente, pretende-se investigar as potencialidades do estudo como modelo de educação artística enquanto infraestrutura de coesão social, participação cultural e desenvolvimento territorial transferível a outras regiões periféricas.
This project addresses the implementation of specialised artistic education, in the specific field of music, in the Northeast of Trás-os-Montes, through the study of the activity and sociocultural impact of the recently established Regional Conservatoire of Macedo de Cavaleiros (CRMC). Located in a peripheral region of Portugal, marked by historical demographic asymmetries that constrain populations' access to educational resources in the arts, the CRMC emerges as a key agent in the process of democratising specialised artistic education in the region. ECOS: Conservatório Regional de Macedo de CavaleirosTo understand how these pedagogical-artistic practices exert influence at the level of social design, shifting populations from a merely contemplative stance towards an active posture of sociocultural protagonism in the region, through musical learning and production. Case study with a mixed-methods (quantitative and qualitative) and longitudinal approach. The study will triangulate data across key dimensions of the institution's development, namely: the evolution of the educational supply/demand ratio, instrumental diversity and its connection to local community traditions, demographic reach (including lifelong learning), and the impact of synergies fostered through multi-sectoral institutional partnerships. This study intends to validate strategies that consolidate the institution as a platform for sustainable regional development, promoting social cohesion and population retention. Furthermore, this exploratory study seeks to investigate thepotential of the case as a model of artistic education functioning as an infrastructure for social cohesion, cultural participation, and territorial development, transferable to other peripheral regions.
